Earlier this week the HRSB postponed the Assessment and Evaluation day planned for today, Friday, March 27th.  Classes are being held as usual and buses are running.  Our new date for report cards being issued is April 13, 2015.

Next Thursday, April 2nd is World Autism Day.  Please wear Blue in support of this day.

Notice to Grade 9 Students – the course selection process is now closed.  All future changes must be discussed with Mr. Young or Mr. Isnor and are subject to approval by the high school.

Yearbook Sales – Only being sold until March 31, 2015 – There will be no extras ordered so please preorder to avoid disappointment.

Yearbooks will be sold at lunch time in the main lobby.  Yearbooks will be pre-sold only there will be no extras available for sale in June. The cost of the yearbook is $30 and can be paid with cash or cheque only. There are no online sales of yearbooks this year they must be purchased at lunch.  If you have any questions regarding yearbooks please contact kblackmore@hrsb.ca.

When the power is out at the school we have no ability to receive incoming calls, voicemail, or email.   If the school is closed during the day you can refer to the HRSB website or calls will be made advising parents of the closure.


February is registration month. All of our grade 7 & 8 students will be automatically registered for next year. If you know that you will not be returning to Rocky Lake Junior High next year please advise us as soon as possible. Guidance is supporting our grade nine students with their course selections for next year.

An information session for grade six parents interested in our late French Immersion program was held on February 10th from 6-7pm in the school cafeteria. Another repeat session for grade six parents interested in our French Immersion program was  held on March 9th from 6-7pm.

On May 14th we will be inviting grade six parents and students to Rocky Lake from 6:30-7:30 pm for a school orientation session.

For new registrations to our school (not coming from one of our feeder schools).  Please make sure to bring proper identification with you to register.  We require proof of address, birth certificate or passport, and immunization records.

Please make sure to be changed into proper PE gear. Intramurals run from 12-12:30pm.

The final total adjusted for students is $378.01 is now due.  Account details have been sent home with students.

A reminder to grade 9 students going on the Quebec trip that your 2nd payment is now overdue. Payments can be given to Ms. Snow or Mrs. Olsen.

Students are reminded to return all of their overdue library books. Books more than two months overdue will be considered lost and students will be expected to pay for them.
