 Wentworth Ski Club

Make up date for the Wentworth Ski Club is March 6, 2015. Students are required to be at school no later than 7:30am.  Please make arrangements to pick up your student at 4:30pm at the school.

There are no spots left for the Wentworth trip. Buses are full!

Yearbook Sales

Yearbooks will be sold at lunch time in room 211.  Yearbooks will be pre-sold only there will be no extras available for sale in June. The cost of the yearbook is $30 and can be paid with cash or cheque only. There are no online sales of yearbooks this year they must be purchased at lunch.  If you have any questions regarding yearbooks please contact kblackmore@hrsb.ca.

When the power is out at the school we have no ability to receive incoming calls, voicemail, or email.   If the school is closed during the day you can refer to the HRSB website or calls will be made advising parents of the closure.

2015-16 REGISTRATION

Course selection for all current grade 9 students has been completed.  If you have not completed your course selection you must see Mr. Young immediately.

February is registration month. All of our grade 7 & 8 students will be automatically registered for next year. If you know that you will not be returning to Rocky Lake Junior High next year please advise us as soon as possible. Guidance is supporting our grade nine students with their course selections for next year.

An information session for grade six parents interested in our late French Immersion program was held on February 10th from 6-7pm in the school cafeteria.

On May 14th we will be inviting grade six parents and students to Rocky Lake from 6:30-7:30 pm for a school orientation session.

For new registrations to our school (not coming from one of our feeder schools).  Please make sure to bring proper identification with you to register.  We require proof of address, birth certificate or passport, and immunization records.

INTRAMURALS

Please make sure to be changed into proper PE gear. Intramurals run from 12-12:30pm.

BASKETBALL

Girls A basketball has a practice today afterschool from 2:45-4:15pm.

Girls first game in the Regionals is Wednesday @ 4pm @ Prince Arthur Junior High.

Boys A basketball has a practice tomorrow after school school from 2:45-4:15pm.

Boys first game in the regionals is Wednesday @ 4pm @ Graham Creighton Junior High.

The final total adjusted for students is $378.01

The 2nd payment will bring your balance paid to $250. The 3rd payment of $128.01 is due by March 25th.  If you pre-paid the full amount of $370.78 before final adjustments please send an additional $7.23 to complete your payment.

GRADE 9 TRIP

A reminder to grade 9 students going on the Quebec trip that your 2nd payment is now overdue. Payments can be given to Ms. Snow or Mrs. Olsen.

MARTOCK SKI CLUB

Thursday is the last of the Martock Ski/Snowboarding club.

Ski club dates – March 5 (make up date for February 5, 2015) Students will be leaving the school at 2:25pm and returning at 9:30pm.  The school is not open at 9:30pm so please make sure there is someone to pick up your student as there is no warm place to wait for drives.  If there is a cancellation it will be posted as soon as possible on this website.


BREATHING SPACE YOGA CLUB

Our next Yoga Club at Breathing Spaces  started  on Wednesday, January 21st.  It will be a 10 week session from Wednesday, January 21 to April 1st from 3-4pm. The cost is $80 for the 10 sessions. Please see Ms. Newton if you are interested in joining.
